The canadian dollar is above the american dollar for the first time in 31 years. SO WHY are we in canada paying TEN DOLLARS MORE for a game? The only reason we payed MORE before was because of the conversion, but now American games cost 50$ abd canadian games cost 60$. I doubt this is a shipping issue, but it could be. But even if it was, would that justify a 20% markup on a dollar that's worth 1 percent more? I don't think so.Huge problem
I feel sorry for youHuge problem
probably shipment+ importation taxes. In brazil, where the monetary exchange is R$2=$1, I should pay R$100 for a game but they get here costing R$250.It could be worse for you.
wow, that's crazy, but is there a fair bit of land shipping? Cause I live in a city that gets a LOT of cargo liners so we don't have to land ship things too far.But that would be crazy having to pay approx. 125 CND for a Wii game.
For the second time today lolThere's many factors involved when you're talking about the price of games in different countries. You just can't say that 50 dollars in the US and 60 in Canada isn't fair. There's other elements you need to bring into it.Since I'm in the region that gets the games the cheapest I don't have much of a need to research it but probably this winter when there's nothing to do for a day I'll look into it. If for no other reason but to solve threads just like these.
NEVER, EVER complain about prices in front of me. wii games in my country, if u convert the prices, stays at something like 120 US dollars. the wii costs about 500/ 700 dollars, and just for u to know, the PS3 is about 2000 dollars. i repeat myself: NEVER, EVER complain about prices in front of me

If you think that's a problem, it's much worse in Australia. At the moment an American dollar is worth 85 Australian cents, but we pay $100 for a game, twice the price of the $50 Americans pay.
Now is that all prices or just video games?Like do the McDonalds and stuff have their value menu charging like 8 bucks for a cheeseburger?
Only imported things. Since our McDonalds burgers are made here (I hope so) they dont cost as much. But clothing, eletronics and some other imported stuff have pretty high prices. The importation tax alone is about 100% of the price. Cool isn't it?
