Online was just confirmed and people are still complaing, also the whole thing wasn't even announced.Do you think some people are ungrateful
It's there way or the highway is their attitude. It's either packed with features or complete junk is what they think.Do you think some people are ungrateful

MS:C plays the same way, it feels fine. It doesnt feel like your playing bots.

most people didnt read the whole thing, they said they will be informing of online updates and features as time goes on meaning they will have more features. plus whats wrong with just being able to fight random people or your friends, why do you need such a plethora of options to be happy after complaining for months they havent announced online yet? (haha i said plethora)
Nintendo needs to grow up and stop treating online like it was made for the6 year olds. They say they care about us hardcore gamers, then give us an online not evne suited to satisfy a casual. This is not hate, it's just what nintneod needs to do.

Problem is that people nowadays are spoiled rotten with everything. When Melee and the original Halo came out, there was no online and it was fun. In fact, Melee stands today as one of the greatest multiplayer games of all time despite the lack of online. I agree with TC in that people are ungrateful. So a common request I hear is that nintnedo should make punchout for wii, should nintnedo give us a game of 3.5 quality and say ''What, you wanted punchout didn't you?''No, it's a given when we ask for something, we mean we want it with some effort put in!

Well people shouldnt be complaining in the first place -- we all knew how Wii's Wi-Fi was going to be. The only thing is, is that its up to Nintendo if they want to change it or not, and so far, they dont.

Nintendo's free online service really ticks me off, I mean, I'm not getting my money's worth now am I? Oh wait, I'm not paying any money to play games online, so actually I should be grateful for any semblance of online play in Ninty games? Hmm... sounds about right. Do I want Nintendo Live? No, that's why I have a 360 and a PC. I bought a Wii because it's a Nintendo product and because of Smash. I'm satiated, and anyone who wasexpecting Ninty-Box Live was misleading themselves. Ninty knows a little something about being rediculously sucessful. They aren't going to change their ways because hardcores aren't happy. HCs are no longer their target demographic. I couldn't be happier with what I've seen from Smash so far. Oh wait, I would have liked to see teh Rat from the Mario bros cartoon in there, that's the only thing they could have improved upon =P

I agree completely. Just getting free online play in Smash Brothers is more than enough for me. Particularly as we are getting additional features that havent been announced yet.Some people are just never happy.
Well people are complaining that online is just like playing with bots because no headset yada yada. I play on Live, and half the time, people don't even use their headset, or if they do, they are just spouting annoying crap. Voice chat isn't that amazing unless it's used in a game for teamwork.

Not really applicable for smash brothers as the only voice chat would be the winner trash talking everyone which just isnt fun and if you are being beaten at Smash Brothers there is really very little to comeback with. The game that really DOES need voice chat is Medal of Honour. Im assuming that players are split into 16 man teams for this. Surely a wii microphone is essential to make this game work?

SSBB topics are still limited to the sticky.There is currently an active thread about Nintendo's online plan, however, and much of the talk in there concerns SSBB. That's probably where you got the idea for this thread, now that I think about it. ;)Your blog would also be an acceptable place to vent about this, especially since it concerns people's attitude more than the Wii itself.
