Text chat is all I need to be content. Gameswith onlinelike MoH H2 are just bonuses. Voice is bonus too but some games NEED it.
they said add friends by name or something but im guessing it is still friend codes. or did i read wrong and it just said friend codes straight up? anyway, i think they should have a ranking system or a tournament mode. but they did promise us more modes so we dont know yet. what they really need is a level system to keep me (a noob) away from pros (many of you guys. supposedly)

yeah i don't care for online because i have such slow internet that i can't play even starcraft online.
but id do want the wii to be the best console possible.
Well if you actually looked at the pictures on the SSBB site.. They use usernames.. So i'm guessing that this game is going to change nintendos online system
yeah hopefully they do get rid of friend codes. all i have heard is bad thngs about them. they also need a headset.

When playing random matches, people loses their names.

What nintendo needs to do is take what random smash battles is currently, and make that what random smash battles is for anyone with the parental blocks on. Otherwise, flash out the online and give us an expirience, not a seatbelt.
Maybe it enters their name automatically after you both each other's friend codes. The way I interpreted it was that you could add them if they are in your Wii adress book.
What they should add IMO:1)Showing who you playing against, even if it's random.2) Names instead of friend codes. Imagine you entering a room and people screaming:''OMG ITS 450234827397 !!!!! HES PRO''3) As said in 2, people screaming....any kind of chat is fine. maybe only when waiting for game to start, so it doesn't become chaotic.4)A way to add someone after a match.5) A room system. Something like gunbound or such. You create a room with the rules you want, the stage you want, with/without pass and number of players.6) tournaments hosted by nintendo. No need for prizes, just recognition. Like a medal or such.7)Ranked matches8 )A way to prevent people from leaving in the mid of a match.9)Parental control used to it's maximumthat's all i can think for now. these would greatly improve online experience.

lets certain age groups play with other age groups

the higher th age, the more things you get, like voice chat and stuff, same with kids

Unless you can make it so the console cannot be turned off and that the power can not be cut from the console in any way, that one cannot be done. But because of the ''no ranked matches'' that we see in at least Brawl the chances someone will disconnect would probably be less because there is no rank to be obsessed about

[/QUOTE]Not exactly preventing from leaving, but giving real penalties to the ones that do it. This way people won't leave on their own, just by accident.
