hellow... I`m tracking [url=http://www.gamespot.com/wii/action/thegoldencompass/index.html?tag=tabs;summary]The Golden Compass[/url] and after watching it last trailer. it actually looks pretty good. The [url=http://www.gamespot.com/video/938511/6179574/the-golden-compass-official-trailer-1]trailer[/url] has some clip from the movie, but the game part look pretty good.If the game play is good (or has some nice montion feature) this game would defenetely go to my wish list..anyone else?oh.. and do you thing it would have online, or more specific a feature like metroid, where u need to exchange code to unlock more.Does anyone else here like this upcoming ...

Video games that were movies are never good. Except Lotr and star wars. Also i do not thinkthat the golden compass game will have online
In this case, the movie came from a game, and some games that come from books are decent i.e. Lord of the Rings. His Dark Materials is a great trilogy, and I hope the games that come from it are at least decent.
It's being made by Shiny, the developer who most recently brought us the Matrix games and years ago, the Earthworm Jim games.Sega is publishing it, which leads me to believe that it'll at least be a decent game, since movie games don't usually get published by the likes of Sega.I can't really tell what the gameplay is like from the video or the preview here on Gamespot. But I do like the fact that it will contain two levels that come from the book but aren't in the movie. That shows that Shiny is going a little above and beyond for this game.
It might be good. Who knows? From what people have told me, the book that serves as source material for the movie is very good. Maybe it can translate from book to movie to game. It doesn't seem very likely. They need to show a lot of more gameplay for me to become convinced.

I'm keeping an eye on it - HDM is a great series. And this is more of a book-based game than it is a movie-based game.
