Sony Gamer asking if its worth getting a ...

Well, as the title sais, I am a sony gamer and I might buy a Wii but is it worth? And what games are good, and I mean more mature games cause I don't really like those kid games.Sony Gamer asking if its worth getting a ...
you may need to be a little bit more open-minded about gaming in general if you really want to have fun with a Wii. If you're looking for blood, you won't be getting a lot of games right off. Maybe a half a dozen. Red Steel, Resident Evil 4, the WWII shooters and Manhunt. There's so much more to gaming than mature games though. Rent a few puzzle games or platformers. It's a different kind of fun.Good luck and have fun!Sony Gamer asking if its worth getting a ...

Mature games?Manhunt 2 is one of the mostviolent games on any console,no more heroes is bloody as hell and Umbrella chronicles is pretty bloody too,I don't really know anything else besides those
If all you care about is graphics and online then the wii is not for you.
If you want to play great nintendo games, want to experiance a new way of playing games. Want to play games with your GF and other nongaming friends then the wii is for you.
if you can afford a Wii and peripherals and games on top of PS3 peripherals and games then yes, go for it...
If all you want is mature games then the Wii probably isn't for you. The only ones I can think of are Manhunt 2, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, No More Heroes, and Medal of Honor: Heroes 2.
I'm going to have to second the notion of Wii not being a proper fit if you are only interested in ''mature'' games. That's not to say there isnt a lot of fun to be had with the Wii, but you have to be willing to broaden your horizons.
well if u think a ps3 is worth a purchase then u should definately get a wii
The Wii will probably appeal to you...but most liekly not at this moment. I would suggest getting one sometime around the holidays this year or maybe even March of next year.
id say yes, its a totaly diferent take on what u would have currently, it takes a lil to get used to i mean like an hour or so but then you get in the state of mind that this is the best way to play games, i still like playing games on a clasical style controller but the wii really cranks up the amount of involvement and fun, i mean the graphics obviously arent top notch but the gameplay in well made games really pulls it to a level where i dont mind, u just need to be educated about what games are reallt worth buying, kinda like the ds, but the games that are comming out now are starting to get some respectable graphics and the gameplay is always going to reinvent itself, like a game like mortal combat and a game like soul caliber, with the wii controller it offers a totaly diferent way for each game to reinvent itself, not with button combos but with using the games style, soul calibur a more weapons based game and mk a more hand to hand style, and im still not sick of my wii so it doesnt seem to be a novelty item
dude get a wii I got one 2 weeks ago and it is awesome!and get the godfather.it is rated M and its pretty much a 1940's GTA.and dont think that is a bad thing either.you can drive old time corvettes and you take over parts of cities.trust me you will like it.

I know you want more mature games but there must have been something else that got you to thinking about it.As for mature games, re4 Wii Edition is great, Manhunt will be coming, I hear No More Heroes is going to be bloody, Splinter Cell Double Agent is for Wii too. There's also the Godfather and Scarface. Though most of those choices have already been listed. Metroid is a great title, if you get a Wii at least rent it, you might like it a lot. Brawl will be a great title when it comes out as well, if you like fighting games that is. You could even use Snake from Metal Gear Solid if you haven't heard and if you like him.If you already bought a PS3, you probably have enough for a Wii. :P
Well, Nintendo sure aren't famous of having ''mature'' (your definition of 'mature') games, but games like Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Mario Galaxy and Smash Bros. Brawl, you should not miss. If you want to play some awesome games, without blood, I would have to recommend the Wii. It's a very fun console. But if you're more of the ''mature'', bloody, action-type games, you'd probably do best to stay away from the Wii to prevent dissapointment. If you'd like another console, I'd recommend the 360 instead.
wii is good for having people round and then playing
yeah GFs do like the wii a lot!!
It is! and besides whats up with people and Mature games anyways? A lot gore and blood doesn't make a game cool. It's the replay value and fun meter.
It's awesome that women like the Wii. What a gift from Nintendo.

Mp3 is the kind of game I could play over and over because of the controls. they really are immersive.
I've never seen a Sony fan come into a Wii board this calm, cool, and collective. Usually their hostile and bashful towards the Wii and fans.
I'm a confessed sony fanboy - I bought a Wii a few weeks ago and I love it, played it more than my PS3 of recent actually. I say if you can find one and have the money - GET IT! Then, get all of the Metroid Prime games to play on it. It's the perfect console to go along with the PS3 - you get INSANE graphics and action on the PS3, and the Wii provides everything else, but with more interactivity to the games.
