The usual approach of killing all the enemies first won't work, because they will come forever. If you scan the turrets it should be obvious how to destroy them, and you have to do it while the enemies are interferring with you. The turret with the flying pirates was a lot harder for me, because they can undo what you're doing. You have to hurry, otherwise they'll wear you down.
It just takes some time to figure out how to elimanate the flyers. Hypermode is great as are the missles once you lock onto the pirates. I managed to get the friend voucher quite easily my second time around.
